The United Methodist Conference selected HagerSmith Design to lead a design build team for their new corporate offices Greenfield in Garner, NC. HagerSmith provided complete architectural, interior and site design services from programming and master planning through construction administration. Key to the client was a site design that worked well for their day to day staff and also functioned for the occasional group meetings held at the facility. HagerSmith master planned the site to accommodate overflow parking on non-paved surfaces in keeping with their desire to remain “green” and to be cost conscious. The project is on track to achieve LEED Silver. The 32,000 square foot two story building sits toward the rear of their site with a long winding drive leading to the entrance. While offering some identity from Highway 70, a substantial buffer has been maintained to buffer road noise and maintain the forested character that brought them to the site many years ago.
