Idlewild is one of Raleigh’s older downtown neighborhoods. A citizens’ task force developed a plan to revitalize the blighted portions of the area. One element of the plan was an urban greenway along Cooke Street. HagerSmith Design was commissioned to provide full site design services for the revitalization project. The final plan integrates an urban greenway into a front yard setting while maintaining the character of the surrounding neighborhood.
