St Josephs

Raleigh, NC

HagerSmith Design worked with St. Joseph’s to develop a design for the church to allow for extra seating in the sanctuary. This involved using some of their existing church hall space and building a new church hall addition. The shapes and forms of the church, including the new Spanish-tile roof and 3,000 SF of addition were to give the church enduring qualities similar to the older catholic churches in the U.S. and Europe. It was important to portray a solid foundation in the design of the church and establishing it as a permanent part of its surrounding community. HagerSmith was able to work within the limitations that presented problems for the design of the church including the project budget.
